Clint felt more at ease when the grip on the bat loosened up. Oh well, he came to his senses? He didn't put this to a good thing however.

Barton didn't want to get to close to the other man. He'd gotten too close to Barney and look what happened. He didn't even show up to his older brother's funeral. He couldn't stand the sight of knowing that people thought a wild animal had ripped Barney to pieces when it was the man who Barney trusted to stand next with him during everything. He clenched and unclenched his fists at his sides, hiding the frazzled feeling he was undoubtedly feeling. "I didn't think...anyone was home." Clint knew that excuse was likely to get a scowl from the other man. "If if this was your place to begin with...I went with a hunch." Or his nose. Whichever. Clint looked down at himself before back at Phil.

"Couple years...really not eighteen anymore." He grew up and in the stead of an awkward looking acrobatic teenager he was more defined. It helped he figured. "You know...crazy kids, we grow up so fast." Clint stepped cautiously into the hug, wrapping his arms around Phil and allowing his everything to envelope him. The smell he had been tracking since he hit the city limits was now engulfing him and tuning everything else out that Clint couldn't honestly care if he was crowding the other man's space at the moment.
