Phil held him into a tight hug. It was good to see him. It had been so long that Phil had started to wonder if he'd moved on with life or if something had happened. Phil couldn't help thinking about people he'd lost contact with over the years sometimes. It was in his nature to show concern and to worry about people and he'd had a soft spot for Clint right off the bat when they'd met. There was something in his smile that pulled Phil in.
"Jesus, Clint. If I'd known you were coming..." He might have cleaned up and made sure that he would be home for him. "You kind of disappeared for a while there. Even if I was still in the Middle East, My sister house sat when I was away and she would have let you stay. I'm back now, though. Taking classes."
He leaned back just enough to try to get a look at Clint. "You're not in trouble, are you?"
