"Are you too old to need a leash?" Phil shot back with a wry smile.
As they turned up his walkway, he raised his hand to the small of Clint's back, guiding him gently towards the door. If Clint was coming back, maybe that meant he would stay. Phil really hoped that he would. He wanted Clint to be safe and he couldn't be safe out there on his own. He needed support. He needed someone.
"Go upstairs and take a shower. It's already running and it should be hot by now. I left you some clothes on the bathroom counter. I'll order a pizza." He held the door open for Clint. "Okay?"
