Phil let Bruce check his throat. He was normally pretty anxious about being this vulnerable in front of someone, but for some reason, he wasn't now. Maybe it was just the drugs.

"I don't know what I was on. I think it was just for pain, though, and probably to keep me out of it so I'd stop trying to leave." He smiled at Bruce. "I'm not in too much pain, though. I'm just sore... really sore." He sighed. "And dizzy." But Banner was a good doctor and Clint would take care of him, too. He knew he would be okay. He trusted them to keep him safe. They'd rescued him and he knew that that couldn't have been easy.

"Bruce..." He caught himself. Where had that come from? Since when did he think of Banner as Bruce? "Sorry, I--Thank you. I think I just need to rest." He just needed a sandwich and to lie down and sleep this off. Once the drugs were out of his system, he would be fine. "If we need to stay mobile, I should have a few safe houses that are uncompromised." He had two that only he knew about and another that only he and Clint knew about. Natasha knew the others and even if he trusted her, he'd rather not put her in a position where she has to risk her own career for them.
