Normally when Bruce slips into doctor mode, that's just it; he's in doctor mode, and he keeps his mind on medicine. Otherwise things are creepy and inappropriate and he feels like a gross person, honestly. But just then? He definitely wandered out of appropriate thought levels, and it's good that the examination didn't have to go on any longer than that. Once his hands are to himself again, he can focus on Phil's assessment of himself with something approaching propriety. Even through the smile, which he writes off as just polite.

But that? His name? Bruce's head picks up and his eyes are wide and bright when they settle on Phil for a long few seconds -- and then they immediately jump to Clint. That had been weird. Significantly weird. What if it's just the drugs? What if he remembers Arkham, and they were drugging the memories out of him? It's a wild theory and only one of many possibilities, but that it's at all possible is something to appreciate.

They'll know more once the drugs have worn off. No point in getting excited about it. He shakes his head, almost shaking the excitement away, and backs up another step, giving Clint room.

"Then that's what you'll do. Eat what you can and drink that water, then rest. We'll keep the fuzzy handcuffs safely locked away." And he almost tacks on a 'for now' but literally bites his tongue to keep it back at the last second. "We're safe for now, and when that becomes an issue, we'll think about moving, but right now I think we could all use a breather."
