Phil smiled and if it didn't hit his eyes, if there was sadness behind it, that wasn't really important, right? "I'm glad you have each others' backs." Really, he was happy that Clint had someone he could count on and who counted on him. It's what he deserved. Phil couldn't completely ignore the ache in his chest at the idea of Phil not being part of that, though. Strangely, he wasn't even sure if he was only jealous of Banner in this situation. He'd look at that more later.
Now, he just had to rest, because his head was swimming with more strange images and feelings and it was too much for him to really process any of it. His fists clenched with the effort.
After a moment, he took a deep breath. "I have no idea what Fury is playing at with any of this. Be careful, because he's probably a few steps ahead of all of us."
