It was definitely easy to explain her mood when she and Bo hit up the Dal to let Trick know what was going on and grab some food while they were there. She practically floated into the damn bar and couldn't stop smiling and was basically the most annoying person to be around. Well... more annoying than usual. Bo kept rolling her eyes, but the smile was infectious. There was a large amount of hugging and the occasional cheek-pinch on top of the grins and laughter.
... But the laughter stopped when Clint and his new friends showed up.
The Dal was neutral ground. A way station. Both dark and light could sit down and have a drink together. There were rules, always rules, but for the most part it was a pretty laid back arrangement. But that's what makes a mesmer so dangerous. If he could get control over an unaligned succubus or a human, he could use it as a proxy and avoid punishment. Mesmers could start a war.
But this mesmer picked the wrong damn bar to walk into and the wrong damn human. Kenzi stood up, watching the group warily. The fuck was this guy doing?
