Being around Phil in the time after he had tried to run away had done more than enough to prove that he didn't feel alone in all of this. He really didn't need more proof than the man chasing after him barefoot in cold weather. It was a nice sentiment, he appreciated Phil for...existing. Nothing had come out of the touching. Not that he wished something would as he set his plate to the side to curl up on Phil's side.
Clint would be lying if he said he didn't smell the slight fear on Phil. It didn't instill confidence in him but it made him think that Phil was on level with him. "You smell really good, sir." It was meant to be a thought rather than a statement. He grew quiet for a moment, pushing that out of his mind for the moment as he wrapped his arm around Phil's body, shutting his eyes for a moment. "There's some chains I picked up in the closet...they seemed durable enough to work. All you havta do is...tie it around me before the moon reaches the top of the sky."
