headcanon

he burns all the suits he wears on missions. he doesn't like them and he will not apologize for the act. he hates them. before the line-up to the avengers initiative came up, he wanted to bribe fury (and tried to bribe coulson) into becoming part of it just to work with tony stark (aka iron man) at least once in his life. since he'd been turned down for the undercover mission when they found out he was dying. his handler is philip j. coulson, who was also his recruiter. even if clint is considered a 'senior agent'; he has never asked to take on new recruits and hasn't asked for a change of handlers. he works well with phil and doesn't see the point in changing up a routine he's familiar with. clint barton does not like change either. was involved in the "harlem" incident involving hulk vs. abomination. he was trapped under some rumble left in their wake for a couple hours, needless to say he was glad the big green one won. his drink of choice is diet dr. pepper cherry. he doesn't like to drink alcohol and typically steers away from it for various reasons. he's also a fan of hawaiian punch 'juicy red'.
